Key responsibilities/duties in occupation:

1.   Go to Court and represent victims of domestic violence and elderly victims of fraud

2.  Meet with clients during emergencies after violence has occurred and advise them on legal issues

3.  Develop and maintain relationships with other agencies who provide social services in an effort to coordinate our services

4.  Manage heavy caseload, draft documents, appear in court, review applications for accepting as clients

Please outline your expectations from the vocational aspect of the GSE program while being hosted in District 9550:

I would like to experience or learn about the court system, watch or meet judges and lawyers, how Australia offers legal representation to those who cannot afford it as well as how Australia protects victims of domestic violence.

On what specific areas relating to your job would you like to focus?

I would like to focus on litigation in court and the family court system which decides divorce and custody issues.   I would also like to learn about Australia’s response to domestic violence
